We chose the sun, tickling
our necks as we faced
another day, heads held high,
with a long-remembered warmth encircling,
encouraging us onwards.
We found the heat, massaging
our chests as we perspired
through the thick air, breathing hard,
with a too-familiar determination warming,
wearing us onwards.
For the dverse prompt : temperature. Can you tell it’s hot here?

Oh…I feel like I’m trudging on a long hike in your words here…dripping….sweating in the sun.
It’s all about the journey isn’t it?
The last three lines made me wonder how connected are the words “warming”, “warning” and “wearing”. The first two seem very connected.
I suppose that depends on what’s being warn …
