I prefer not to dwell on extinction.
Even in death those lost to history
can pull us closer, give us purpose.
Seemingly insignificant remains
propel humanity forward, drive us onward
to unknown destinations. What adventures
await my bones
when I no longer dwell here?

Good observation: “Even in death those lost to history
can pull us closer, give us purpose.” It is not over.

I hope from bones
will grow

Endless recycling. You’re asking the right (unanswerable) questions, Phillip.
