You are my star, my light
in the universe —
though worlds revolve
I’m resolved to stay
out of the dark.

You are my center, the heart
in my body —
though you sleep
a world away I stay
fixated on you.

You are my happy, my smile
in this life —
for as long as
I’m on this earth
you are mine.

… and is speaks to me very personally. – PS the word ‘fixated’ strikes me with a question mark. I have a few words native speakers of E use differently from what I would expect – eg the word obsession seems to be used for OCD-type as well as for passion. Might this be one such case? In the context I would have expected something like anchored or grounded – but perhaps you did want a sting somehow? Thanks for writing – 🙂
