Clouds

The clouds speak in fustian tones today,
attitude amid the altitude,
interrupting blues held together like a pair
of dancing dragonflies dropping just

over the horizon. They seem aware of their effect
though indifferent to the birds nuzzling through
slits of sky to a home among blues, piled
high enough to aspire to heavenly planes.
