Skipping stones

I want to imbibe her
like skipping stones collecting water
from a lake before
finally giving in.

Listen to the sound of ripples
leaving furtive clues to the jewel
hidden under
the billowing surface.

Rocks sink but
she glitters with stardust under
her fingernails & I crave
a noiseless supernova
unbound by gravity.

I want
I want
I want

My name is Phillip. I live in North Carolina with my wife of 12 years and 5-year-old son. I am a Tar Heel born and bred and watch every Yankees game I can. I'm still searching for my own TARDIS. My first novel, "The Alien in the Backseat," is available now!
