Dwell on extinction

I prefer not to dwell on extinction.
Even in death those lost to history
can pull us closer, give us purpose.
Seemingly insignificant remains
propel humanity forward, drive us onwards
to unknown destinations. What exciting
adventures await my bones
when I no longer dwell?
